Moving on not retiring
Many people when they retire have a party or at least go out for a few pints.
In my case I have a completely different approach I organized a photography session.
As luck would have it I had been contact by Rebecca Dore, an aspiring model. She was interested in a photo-shoot. Our idea was a 'sixties look' for which she had the perfect dress. The dress was black with white detail so I let the subject dictate the location. Ironically I started my photography career in 1960's London plus I own a black Vespa scooter. What I wanted to achieve was a color/black & white image. The background should be grey. The steps and walls under the Luas Line at the grand canal was perfect.
(I tend to collect locations I'd noted this as a 'possible' quite soon after the line was completed)
What fascinated me was the whole shoot was organised on Facebook: the dress, make up artist, hair, location etc.
In fact we didn't meet until the time of the shoot. Rebecca had a make-up artist Carolina Pinciuk she trusted and I new what look I was going for.
We changed the lip color to make the image pop.
